Clear Channel, the outstanding out-of-home media partner, has announced the UK’s first national, permanent high street mobile platform for outdoor media.

The roll-out will see more than 10,000 Clear Channel Adshel sites and digital roadside panels equipped with both Near Field Communications (NFC) and QR code capabilities, transforming roadside advertising into an interactive consumer experience. Adshel is Clear Channel’s national high street 6-sheet network. This landmark platform gives advertisers the opportunity to deepen their interaction with consumers by offering interactive content, social media integration and real-time content updates, while consumers can use their smartphones to download vouchers or even buy direct from the poster. The platform is supported by a full reporting network to help brands effectively track results.The new network will be the largest mobile platform on outdoor media in the UK with the upgrade focused on high streets and conurbations.

The roll-out is already underway and will see thousands of panels upgraded by the end of 2012 ahead of a full launch in Q1 2013.
