NFC Cashless Festivals
Eagle Eye Technology built and ran an NFC contactless payment and access service for music festivals in New Zealand for a specialist comms company. The service was called Skoot.
Eagle Eye Technology are known as pioneers in the world of NFC. Their work with Clear Channel and other global payment companies put Eagle Eye Technology at the cutting edge of this growing market and this Knowhow was used to build the Skoot platform. Within weeks of launch the Skoot platform had taken over £1million in payment transactions at cashless and cardless events in New Zealand making it one of the most popular and successful NFC payment systems in the world.
Eagle Eye Technology helped define the scope of the platform and acquire the relevant hardware that could be used at multiple temporary locations where events were being held. With a strong track record for delivering real services for real people, Eagle Eye Technology delivered a robust platform used at multiple events in New Zealand. This allowed tens of thousands of people to attend and pay for everything at these events using the supplied NFC wristbands rather than cash or card. Acclaim was immediate and the Skoot platform is now growing to take advantage of advances in NFC technology and mainstream acceptance of the technology.
